Do you provide Sky?
No, sorry. Our approach to media is to provide you with the infrastructure to stream your own content. We supply a Freeview Smart TV and Bluetooth Soundbar, so if you have a Netflix account or similar, you can watch it in our apartments over the broadband connection.
Your last check-in is 9pm - what happens if I need to arrive later?
We can do this, but for an additional £10 per hour inconvenience fee. For example, if you arrived at 10.30pm, we would charge £20.
Your departure time is 11am - can I extend this?
Subject to availability and by prior agreement, yes, but at a cost of £20 per hour, to cover our additional operating costs.
Can I smoke in your apartments?
No, absolutely not. All of our apartments are in buildings which are entirely non smoking. The costs of remediation and loss of revenue after an apartment has been smoked in can run into several hundred pounds, which we would charge for, so we really don't recommend it.
Do you accept pets?
No, sorry, as with the smoking, it's a condition of the buildings our apartments are in.
What happens if my plans change and I need to leave early?
We would charge in accordance with our Cancellation Policy. Please bear in mind that Serviced Apartment bookings are usually much longer term and strategic, so cancellation policies are typically much longer than for hotels or B&B's. If you believe that your plans are subject to change, we would suggest booking a hotel or B&B.
When do I need to tell you if I would like to extend?
As soon as you know. All apartments are on sale until they're booked.
What is the security deposit for?
Primarily to pay for any damages caused - including accidentally - during your stay. But we also retain the right to deduct any late departure charges and exceptional cleaning costs incurred at the end of your stay. Please be aware that your liability to us is not capped at the amount of the security deposit - should we incur costs in excess of that you would be responsible for it.
What does the weekly housekeeping service include?
A change of bedding, a change of towels and a clean of the apartment. It doesn't include washing up a weeks worth of dirty saucepans - we provide you with the facilities to keep on top of that yourself. If you would like additional housekeeping services, please ask - they can be provided at a charge.
What is the legal status of my stay with you?
You have what is known as a 'licence to occupy' with us. In laymans terms it's the same as you have in a hotel or B&B, or a house share where you're living with the landlord/lady. Also, all of our serviced apartments are officially designated as commercial premises, so residential tenancy rights can not be accrued.
